On the final night of the 2014 Iowa Holiness Association Camp Meeting we see the Children's presentation as led by our Children's Evangelists Rev. Cyril and Jan McKay. Then we hear a message from Evangelist Rev. Hal Daigre from the book of Psalms Chapter 146 titled “When you meet Yahweh”
Thanks for watching these videos from the 2014 Iowa Holiness Association Camp Meetings. We look forward to seeing you at the 2015 Camp Meetings
The Psalmist exhorts us to “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.” (Psalm 100:4,5)
How true these words are, and how appropriate as we reflect upon the Lord's blessing upon our wonderful Camp Meeting this summer!
Let us give Him thanks and praise for the wonderful attendance on the first night and the blessing of His presence in our midst throughout the week in every session.
Our children's meetings, under the ministry of the McKay family, challenged our children to know and serve the Lord in our blessed land, as children do in less fortunate circumstances than we have in our land of the free.
As our 2013 IHA Camp Meeting quickly approaches (June 9-14—only 35 days away!), let us give ourselves to concentrated prayer each day for the Camp during this month of May. Let us set each Tuesday noon as a special time of prayer and fasting as the Lord leads us. Let us remember each worker:
President Brady Hunter
Evangelist Gary Henecke
Worship leader Larry Dodds
Accompanist Rosemary Smith
Children’s workers Cyril and Jan McKay
The youth committee, including missionaries Steve and Kelly Solheim, who will provide the devotional messages for the youth
I am reminded of James 5:16 which reads in part “…Pray one for another…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” This is one of several places in the Word we are exhorted to pray for one another. Let us also begin to spend special time as the Lord leads us in times of private and corporate prayer for our week of Camp Meeting this June 9-14. Let us pray that the message of “holiness without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14) will be proclaimed with power and anointing of the blessed Holy Spirit. Pray espcially for our workers:
As we look forward to our 2012 Camp Meeting, June 10-15, just 48 days from today, I am writing this Call to Prayer for another “time of refreshing from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19). Let us set aside each Tuesday as a day of prayer for the Camp Meeting. If possible let us gather in small groups and let us claim the promise of our Lord that if we will agree in prayer we will have what we ask of the Father (Matthew 18:19). If it is not possible for us to gather with a group for prayer, let us take time each Tuesday as our schedule permits to intercede for the Camp.
Let us ask in faith for the anointing of the precious Holy Spirit upon all the workers: Evangelist, Rev. Hal Daigre; the Bible Teacher, Rev. Esther Brown; the Worship Leader, Rev. Larry Dodds; the Children’s Workers, Rev. Cyril and Jan McKay and family; the Young People’s Evangelist Rev. Del Rittgers and family; and the World Gospel Missionaries Leroy and Sandy Anderson.
The New Look of the Iowa Holiness Association Website
We’re in the process of rebuilding – from the ground up – the Iowa Holiness Association website. “IHA Website 2.0” will have many advantages. For instance, more members will be able to contribute to the site. And IHA camp meeting messages can be more easily shared as podcasts. This process will be ongoing through the first week of May. But you’re probably here wondering, “Yes, but what about the information for this year’s camp meeting?” Here’s it is in a nutshell:
