Blessing God for What He Has Done

Picture of Rev. Don ThurmanBro. Don Thurman

The Psalmist exhorts us to “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.  For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.” (Psalm 100:4,5)

How true these words are, and how appropriate as we reflect upon the Lord's blessing upon our wonderful Camp Meeting this summer!

  • Let us give Him thanks and praise for the wonderful attendance on the first night and the blessing of His presence in our midst throughout the week in every session.
  • Our children's meetings, under the ministry of the McKay family, challenged our children to know and serve the Lord in our blessed land, as children do in less fortunate circumstances than we have in our land of the free.
  • We also give thanks for [click to continue…]

In our ongoing website upgrade process, we're now re-releasing the audio messages from Camp Meeting 2007.  The speakers that year were Dr. Jon Tal Murphree (evangelist), Dr. Bob Bagley (Bible teacher), and Rod and Kathy Johnson from World Gospel Missions.

A question for those of your who were at camp in 2007: Did you find one or more of these messages memorable?  And whether you were there or not, as you listen to these messages on the website, which of them speaks to you now — and why?  Please share your thoughts and testimonies in the “Comments” section below.

With Camp Meeting 2012 behind us, we're now moving into to Phase 2 of our website update project. It's time to pull in the messages from previous camp meeting years.  Because Dr. Gary Henecke will be our 2013 Camp Evangelist, Lord willing, we have started with the year 2010, when Dr. Henecke was with us previously.  You'll also find messages by Tom Dunbar, WGM missionaries Michael & Brenda Guilliams, and the first year of “moments from history” from our founder, Isaiah Reid (as portrayed by Rev. Jim Kerwin).

We've added a new item in our menu bar above — IHA Audio Archives.  Right now, the only drop-down menu item available is 2010 Camp Meeting Messagesbut this menu is where visitors will be able to access each camp meeting's messages as more years are added.

Consider this the first step in preparing for and praying for next year's camp meeting!

A Call to Prayer

by Jim Kerwin on April 23, 2012

A Call to Prayer from Rev. Don Thurman

Rev. Don Thurman

Rev. Don Thurman, IHA Board Member

As we look forward to our 2012 Camp Meeting, June 10-15, just 48 days from today, I am writing this Call to Prayer for another “time of refreshing from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19). Let us set aside each Tuesday as a day of prayer for the Camp Meeting. If possible let us gather in small groups and let us claim the promise of our Lord that if we will agree in prayer we will have what we ask of the Father (Matthew 18:19). If it is not possible for us to gather with a group for prayer, let us take time each Tuesday as our schedule permits to intercede for the Camp.

Let us ask in faith for the anointing of the precious Holy Spirit upon all the workers: Evangelist, Rev. Hal Daigre; the Bible Teacher, Rev. Esther Brown; the Worship Leader, Rev. Larry Dodds; the Children’s Workers, Rev. Cyril and Jan McKay and family; the Young People’s Evangelist Rev. Del Rittgers and family; and the World Gospel Missionaries Leroy and Sandy Anderson.

Let us pray for many to [click to continue…]
